ELE_VET In-Person Training: Building a Community of VET Ambassadors in Italy

As part of the ELE_VET – Enhanced Learning Experiences for Vocational Education and Training project, six selected VET teachers from Azerbaijan and Armenia participated in an intensive in-person training week in Italy in January, marking an important milestone before the launch of the blended training activities in their respective countries.

The face-to-face course provided participants with the opportunity to strengthen their competences in digital education, entrepreneurship, and innovative teaching methodologies, while engaging in interactive sessions, practical activities, and collaborative exchanges with colleagues from different countries. Through this international learning experience, teachers explored new approaches to making VET education more learner-centred, innovative, and connected to evolving labour market needs.

In addition to the training activities, participants had the opportunity to experience Italy’s rich cultural heritage through a dedicated cultural visit to Perugia, discovering its historical landmarks, architecture, and unique atmosphere. The cultural programme contributed to strengthening intercultural exchange and building connections among educators within the ELE_VET community.

Following this in-person experience, the selected teachers will take on the role of ELE_VET ambassadors, supporting the national partners in the implementation of the upcoming blended training courses in Azerbaijan and Armenia. By sharing their knowledge, experiences, and newly acquired skills, they will contribute to the successful delivery of the programme and encourage the adoption of innovative practices among VET educators.

The ELE_VET in-person training represents a key step in creating an international community of educators committed to enhancing the quality and relevance of vocational education through digital transformation, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
